Question:

Nikon D40 multiple pictures?

I'm thinking about buying the Nikon D40 DSLR for my first digital slr,

and I want to be able to have a camera mounted on a tripod, with a timer on, and take multiple pictures at once, say of myself moving in different angles, whether it be 3 or 6 pictures.

I'm wondering if this camera can do this.

Thank you

  1. Are you talking about stop animation or FPS

The Nikon D40 will shoot 2.5 frames per second while holding the shutter down for 100 exposures or until the card is full. what ever comes first.

  2. You can actually do this with the optional remote control.  It's tiny, and can be hidden in your hand.  You can use it to fire the camera as many times as you like.

It also works great for opening the shutter on long exposure shots, such as for astrophotography, when you don't want to accidentally cause the camera to move.
