This might be a silly question lol but when I take a picture with the D40 can I view it at a later date on the camera? Like a Digital camera?

  1. Yes, up in the top left hand corner there is a button that looks like a play button from a DVD player (or similar). Press on it and then you can scroll through your pictures using the roundy button on the left ( I hope you follow what I mean, its easy)

  2. I have a D40 digital DLR as well (great aren't they) and yes the photos you've taken can be viewed - by pressing the top left button on the rear of the camera. You can move backwards and forwards by pressing the right and left sides of the OK button. You can even change the way the photos appear....press the button which is second to the bottom on the left rear (with a minus sign on it) and you'll get thumbnail view (just press the button on the bottom left with a plus sign to go back to the previous view).

Enjoy your photos and your D40.

  3. You sure can I works just like any other standard point and shoot camera in that respect.  I have the D80 and its no problem.

  4. yes ...

  5. Yes, but the safest way to deal with your images is to put them all on your computer as soon as you get back from shooting. ... then format the card to prevent any possible card corruption later.

If you just press the playback button on your camera you will see all the images on the card
