Nikon D50 flashing err and will no longer take pics.?

Can some one tell me what this means and what to do to fix it. i want to sell the camera soon. One minute it was taking pictures and the next it stopped and started flashing err.

  1. Make sure your camera is set to the correct setting sometimes they will do that if you have accidentally changed a setting


  2. If after cycling your camera (turning it on and off) and taking the lens off and replacing it, the error is still flashing, you need to call a Nikon authorized repair shop

    The Nikon owners manual says to release the shutter ...

  3. Check the lens.  Most AF lenses with aperture rings have a lock to keep them at the lowest aperture.  Others require you simply turn the ring to the lowest setting (largest number).

  4. There are two error codes. frr which means the aperture ring is not  set to the smallest setting. err is when you remove and insert the memory card without shutting the camera off first.
