  2. As above.  Wait a year or so and the price will most likely drop by 15% or more.

  3. It is so new. Apparently it is an extraordinary dSLR.

    I know the D300 goes for $4500 plus lens.

    D700 is in the range of $5,500 plus.

    You ought to have a thick wallet to buy one. Lenses + accessories can set you back by another $3000 or more.
