  1. The photomic head is the funky looking one:

Nice cameras. The above links are from this page: http://mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwar...

  2. Not only can your not tell the difference between the cameras by looking at the photos taken by one or the other, you cannot tell the difference between a F2 or F6 or even a Minolta SRT-101, Leica M2 or any other quality 35 mm camera.

There is nothing printed on the film that ID's the camera (unlike DSLR's which add the camera type, f/stop, shutter speed, flash and other data on each image file's EXIF data).

The quality of the images produced by cameras is totally dependent upon the users technique, style and skill set.

The Nikon F2S is a version of the Nikon F2 that has the ability to use the DS-2 EE Aperture Control Attachment (one of the first attempts to automatically adjust the aperture of Nikon lenses as the shutter speed was adjusted on the Nikons professional camera).   The F2S indicated that the camera came with the F2S/F2SB Photomic finder ... an upgrade from the original F2 Photomic finder (the removable pentaprism on the "F" series Nikon bodies)

The Nikon F2 had no meter ... the Nikon F2 Photomic had a meter built into the pentaprism ... that said, my guess is the same holds true for the "S" version of the camera ... or who ever is selling the camera, just left off the Photomic part of the description ... you will just have to ask the seller if the camera has a meter.
