Hi all,

Im planning on buying a Nikon digital camera..nothing too expensive but a good quality one. So which between these 2 Nikon cameras should i choose...

The NIkon L16 looks pretty much the same to me as the L14...except it has a 2.8inch LCD screen and its a cheaper price of €99.99. Im assuming that the dearer camera would be better but would the L16 be just as good. I dont mean to sound greedy or cheap but im trying to keep as much spare money as i can get as i'm off to Australia next weekend!! Any opinions? Thanks!

  1. Good morning. Honestly, i think neither of them are good cameras. Well, they are, but you can't expect great great results. Anyway, that's not my business. However, although the l16 is newer i would go with the l14, because it's cheaper, and has about the same specifications..

  2. Yes, go for the cheaper one.

Cameras models closeout every few months...

Doesn't pay to go for the latest and greatest as in

acouple of months. there will be something better.. etc..

  3. They are very similar camera's but the L16 is newer so you can expect that the electronics inside are a little more advanced.

Here is a link that compares the specs of each camera.  In the end you may want to test time in a store that sells both.  Just take a SD memory card with you and take test shots in some of the situations you expect to shoot your subjects.
