Nikon Sb-400 on a N90s??

Question

Ok am getting a lot of mixed messages. I have the SB-400 for my D40 and if possible would like to use it on my N90s???? Some say yes some say no. B&H said it should work fine yet others say no not at all. Any thoughts????

Well you cannot hurt your N90.  The trigger voltage is under 12 v.  On the camera side, the only thing you may find is that some of the flashes features may not work
