  1. David M Nikon D3 are made at Sendai factory in Japan.  


  2. Well the ones sold in this country go for $5,000.00 if you bought a grey market one it might be a couple of hundred cheaper and would have no warranty. I would not recommend it. That said they are probably all made in China.
