Question:

Nikon vs. Canon for digital point and shoot?

My husband and I recently had our Canon Pro Series S5 IS stolen from us and need to replace it before the arrival of our beautiful baby this November. I have been looking back and forth between a Nikon Coolpix and a Canon Powershot Elph.

Any recommendations?

These are the two...

  1. Well, the answer is simple. Go for the Canon Powershot SD 850 IS.

Better pictures and no annoying AA batteries to replace!. It has a lithium Ion battery that lasts a long time. And make sure you get a Lexar, Sandisk or Kingston branded high speed (at least 133x and 2GB) Secure Digital Card. The faster the card, the quicker the pictures will be saved and the longer the battery will last, and the more pictures will be taken!

    Congratulations for the baby!

  2. I don't know anything about this particular cameras but I know that I love my Canon Cameras. I have had 2 and they both have been great

  3. Canon all the way.  You will have better images if you will be taking a lot of indoor pics, trust me!
