Nikon with Sigma lens?

Do all the sigma lenses work on nikons? or more specifically the Nikon D70?

here is one that i would like to get but not sure about if it works or not..

  1. Not all, only the ones specifically designed to AF Nikon AF cameras.

    But here is the deal.  Since digital SLR's have become popular the bodies last for very short times ... like under 5 years before the technology becomes too far outdated to be useful.

    On the other hand, lenses will last for decades ... like three or four decades.  It therefore makes much more sense to spend your money on OEM (Nikon in your case) lenses and build you system with Nikon lenses.  

    So, while camera bodies come and go,  your lenses will be with you for a lifetime.  No good reason to buy a cheap third-party lens which may fail long before are ready to replace them.
