Villarreal striker, Nilmar, has admitted that he is delighted with A.S Roma’s interest in him and hopes to play for the Italian club next season.
The Brazilian is linked with a move to Stadio Olimpico Rome for the past two weeks and the striker has claimed that the two clubs are negotiating a deal. New Roma manager, Luis Enrique, sees the former Lyon man as an ideal player
to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mirko-Vucinic-c26024 at the club. Vucinic left the Giallorossi to join Juventus earlier this summer and Roma are in desperate need of a new partner for Francesco Totti.
The 27-year-old claimed that he will be honoured to play for Roma, as they have some great players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940 and Daniele De Rossi in their squad.
Talking to the reporters Nilmar said, "I know Roma and Villarreal are talking and I would be very happy to come to the Italian capital to play football. Roma are a great club and I would be playing alongside players like Francesco
Totti and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112."
Reports suggest that a deal is far from being agreed as the two clubs have not reached a conclusion over the transfer fee for the player. It is believed that Roma are willing to pay €14m but the Yellow Submarine want €16m.
On the other hand, Enrique is believed to be interested in signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 Alcantara, this summer.
The midfielder has made a huge impact during the pre-seasons but he might have to wait for his opportunity at the Camp Nou. Cesc Fabregas’s possible arrival at Barcelona will further limit his chances at the club and he might be
tempted to move.
On the other hand, Catalan manager, Pep Guardiola, is a huge admirer of the 20-year-old and will try his level best to convince him to stay with the Spanish Champions.
