The on-loan striker is eager to perform for Werder Bremen in the upcoming season and is also hopeful of a future with Bayern Munich.
Die Werderaner signed Nils Petersen from Bayern Munich for a season long loan this summer. The striker was signed by the Bavarians giants at the start of the previous campaign from Energie Cottbus but he failed to cement his place
in the starting line-up amid tough competition from the likes of Mario Gomez and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivica-Olic-c17399.
Petersen insisted that the move to Weserstadion is ideal for him as he will have the opportunity to play week in week out in the Bundesliga. He claimed that the River Islanders play some good attacking football which suits his
game.
The former Energie Cottbus player is keen to score goals for his new side in the upcoming campaign and is eager to prove his worth. The player admitted that ample playing time will enhance his confidence and make him a better player.
“Werder Bremen is ideal for me. I have the feeling I can get a few more goals there. This team creates plenty of goalscoring chances given the attacking football they play, which will just be to my advantage,” he was quoted as
saying in an interview.
Petersen stressed that he is ready to give his all for Bremen in the next Bundesliga season and is looking forward to the new challenge. The attacker is targeting to make 34 appearances next season in the league and wants to prove
his detractors wrong by scoring plenty of goals.
The forward is also confident that he will return to Bayern Munich after the next season to fight for his place in the team. He played down reports that the Bavarian side are not keen to bring the player back to Allianz Arena.
“I'm here to gain match practice and I expect to score plenty. By the end, I will hopefully have made 34 appearances and converted as many chances. I was unable to succeed in my first spell in Munich, but when I return, I will
grab every opportunity,” he concluded.
Nils Petersen only made nine league appearances for Jupp Heynckes’ side last term and scored two goals in the process.
