Nimrod Shapira Bar-Or and Anja Trisic win freestyle titles in Zagreb: Day three – 2011 Golden Bear
Nimrod Shapira Bar-Or and Anja Trisic won gold in the Men’s and Women’s 100m freestyle categories, on day three of the 2011 Golden Bear event in Zagreb, Croatia, on Sunday, July 3.
These session conducted meets of the Men’s 100m freestyle, Women’s 100m freestyle, Men’s 50m butterfly, Men’s 200m Individual Medley, Men’s 400m freestyle, Women’s 400m freestyle, Men’s 50m breast-stroke and the Women’s 50m breast-stroke events.
Nimrod Shapira Bar-Or captured the Men’s 100m freestyle title in a winning time of 49.90 seconds, whereas, Mario Todorovic wound up second in 50.26 seconds. The third place was secured by Mario Delac in 51.16 seconds.
The Women’s 100m freestyle meet was clinched by Anja Trisic in 57.90 seconds. Monika Babok earned second place honours after she touched the finishing wall in 58.38 seconds, while Rebeka Repman finished third in 58.56 seconds.
On the other hand, the Men’s 50m butterfly crown was nabbed by Mario Todorovic with a sterling time of 24.09 seconds, whereas, the silver medal went to Boris Loncaric in 24.34 seconds. Dominik Straga was able to capture bronze in a time of 24.49 seconds.
In the Women’s 50m butterfly meet, Monika Babok resisted strongly and won the event with a fastest time of 27.89 seconds. Andrijana Bencic touched the finishing wall second in a time of 27.96 seconds and Katja Hajdinjak settled third in 27.99 seconds.
Additionally, the Men’s 200m Individual Medley crown was nabbed by Dinko Jukic with a time of 2 minutes and 02.07 seconds. The Women’s 200m IM title was clinched by Kim Daniela Pavlin, after she posted a time of 2 minutes and 17.01 seconds.
Erazmo Marsanic hit the wall in 4 minutes and 05.17 seconds to clinch the Men’s 400m freestyle title, whereas, Matea Peteh snagged the Women's 400m freestyle title in 4 minutes and 26.40 seconds. Lovro Bilonic came out strongly in the Men's 50m breast-stroke
event and grabbed the meet with a victorious time of 28.47 seconds. Lana Dragojevic claimed the Women's 50m breast-stroke category in a time of 32.79 seconds.
