Ningaloo Reef pacing in for his chances in the Follow Roscommon On Facebook Handicap
After striking a back-to-back, the four-year-old bay gelding, Ningaloo Reef, is giving a shot to the €6,900 prize money of the Follow Roscommon On Facebook Handicap on Monday, 1st October at Roscommon over seven furlongs. The 6 to 1 entry trained by, Garvan Donnelly, has to confront ten other contestants who have emerged from different levels, and different racing backgrounds.
Acclamation’s bay gelding has been active eight times during the new season, out of which he bagged three races with none of them at Roscommon during the current season.
The last four starts have seen him progressing, and trying to achieve some level of consistency which is reflective through the three wins and a second score.
His debut success of the season was in the Play The Tote Placepot Handicap (Division I) on 27th June, 2012 at Naas race course over seven furlongs.
The Irish bay gelding took off by taking keen pursuit of the leaders, and ranked fifth in the line-up of sixteen by the time half the track distance was dealt with. He was put through a challenging situation when there remained the final two furlongs to race over, however it was hard to beat his determination that had him defeating, Wellmarked, by the margin of ¾ lengths.
The Monday Night Syndicate owned dropped back on his rankings in the Final tote.com BBQ Evening At Naas 25th July Handicap on 11th July, 2012 at Naas over six furlongs.
The Patrick McCartan bred missed the race by the margin of 1 ½ lengths, while the race was won by, Stones Peak.
Gearing back into form, the bay gelding claimed the £4,025.00 prize money of the Follow Naas On Facebook Handicap on 6th August, 2012 at Naas race course over six furlongs.
His success then motored on to the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Handicap (Division I) on 27th August, 2012 at Dundalk race course over seven furlongs.
The four-year-old out of, Madanisa, defeated the favourite entry, Sharp And Smart, by 2 ½ lengths while paired up with jockey, Seamie Heffernan.
He retains the partner in success jockey for the race today too, and has drawn the ninth stall to race from.
