Ninja 250 engine speed?

Question

I have a 2007 ninja 250 and I was wondering about the engine speed(rpm). It is now through the break in period and I have been enjoying cruising on the highways much more. However, at 65mph, my engine is spinning at a little under 8k. Is this ok for the engine or will prolonged use of this high engine speed going to damage the engine? Please only answer if you are familiar with the motorcycle. thanks!

The red line is?  And how much lower is the engine RPM at highway speed than the red line?

The 2008 redlines at 13000 rpm.

You need to wring every last RPM out of the 2007, to get good performance.  Keep it's feet to the fire...
