ok so ive been riding my 500 for a few seasons now and use it as my get to work bike. I got a 20 mile streach of freeway and decided to look for a 1-2 tooth lager front sprocket or 16-17 tooth , i think 1 tooth will drop the rpm by 800 witch is all im looking for. My prob is finding a web site that sells em.

  2. best bet is to remove it and take it to the dealers...most riders change the rear,3 tooth smaller on the back should do it...

  3. I'm not sure if you are looking for better top end or to simply get out of the "buzz" zone when cruising.  Either way, the easier fix is to change the rear sprocket.  Not as expensive and a lot easier to install yourself.
