  1. muay thai is the most effective/dominate non-weapon martial art in the world

    muay thai>ninjitsu

  2. They're very different styles, your choice should take into account at least these considerations:

    - Your size:  Ninjitsu tends to work best for smaller people, Muay Thai larger people.

    - Style:  Ninjitsu is very crafty, traditional martial arts style, Muay Thai is pretty much a pure fighting style.

    - Instructor:  If you can meet each instructor before deciding and get a feel for them that could be very useful to you.  But if its just a summer class this might not matter as much as preference for the style.

  3. Ninpo is actually one of the best martial art forms, only problem is most ninpo schools are nonsense. The only OFFICIAL schools are part of the Genbukan if it is not part of it then it's all nonsense

  4. i think you would get more out of muay thai if your only in it for the summer... get fluent with that,, then move to karate/ninja... most the ninja i ever met was really just some redneck with about 8 months of karate that wanted to have his own style and seen to many movies. You would probalby be arrested for prowling around in a black suit and sneaking around in the real world.

  5. Muay Thai.

Most Ninjitsu schools are nonsense. It is nothing more than people running around in black suits thinking they are learning something useful. Most of them teach nothing more than a glorified Jiu-Jitsu anyhow.

Muay Thai is a straight-forward, no-nonsense and effective approach to combat and will condition you like no other.

If you want to learn something useful and get in shape, stick with Muay Thai.

If you just like the idea of saying "I'm learning Ninjitsu", and having your very own ninja garb, then go Ninjitsu.

  6. Actual ninjitsu uses weapons and most the schools are BS not really ninjitsu.  Take Muy Tai aside form BJJ it has the best success rate in combat.

Many people overate wrestling. Wrestling does well because so many Americans do it. Its offered as a sport in public schools. So its like a AAA school vs a AA school. The pool of talent is larger. So for tiny minoritoes to do so well they must be better.  If there were as few wreslting schools as there were say Japanese Jujitsu wrestling would be unheard of. The best martial arts are BJJ, Kickboxing, and JKD.

  7. Muay Thai is by far one of the most effective deciplines for real life combat as well as MMA pair it with Brazilian Jiujitsu and judo for an awesome set of weapons and they will be usefull out in the world as well.
