  1. Anyone can practice ninjitsu does'nt matter the gender or race.

  2. http://www.bullshido.com/articles/ninjut...

this is what you need to know about the training in ninjitsu.

odds are, it is not a legit school, but try and sort it out if you like.

  3. First off, it's nothing like you think. When you examine taijutsu techniques from ninpo schools, the emphasis is on getting away and hiding, whereas traditional samurai taijutsu and jutaijutsu will end with you keeping control of the opponent.

You'll do rolling and learn some flipping, but this isn't the movies. Your school should be associated with one of the X-Kan [Bujinkan, Jinenkan, Genbukan] to have any quality to the ninpo.

It really isn't any more dangerous than any other martial art. The key to avoiding injury is to relax and let go of your fear. Getting hit doesn't hurt that bad, and you learn that, just because you feel pain, doesn't mean you're out of the fight.

If you're in the UK, I've heard some good things about some of the Bujinkan instructors there (Simon Yeo, Peter King...) but I also know that there are some people who've been passing themselves off as Bujinkan and aren't as well as people claiming to teach ninjutsu that are just playacting.

I don't know about the rules that a lot of the schools have. Our dojo here in Las Vegas won't admit anyone under 16 without a parent enrolled as well, pretty much because of the stereotypes. Have fun, be safe, and keep an open mind.

  4. There are lots of anglos that do ninjutsu, not just Japanese. It's no more dangerous than any other martial art, and it is definitely worth looking into.

  5. Check out www.ninjutsu.com for a start. Plenty of great info on the TRUE art of ninjutsu. Don't believe anything you see in the movies.
