Nintendo DS lite battery usage?

I've been told by my brother that even if the DS is turned off, the battery power is still being used. Is this true?

Yes, but only a very, very small amount. About 0.000000000001% of the battery power is being used. If it's left off for about a year then you may need to charge it.

Yes.

It's a general thing about all battery-powered electronics.  If a battery-powered device is not in use and not being charged, its battery will drain very slowly.

No because the instruction booklet said it needs to be charged every 15hours and mine has been off for days and I can still play it.
