Nintendo Wii - advice please

Question

My knowledge of the Nintendo Wii is nil, but I would like to buy one and the exercise platform thing that you can purchase separately.

Is there anything else I need to buy with these 2 items -- e.g. a remote control - -does it come with the Wii, or do I buy it separately also?

No you will not need any other controllers etc because the wii comes with one controller you may want to buy extra but with the game wii fit all you need is the one controller you will have when you purchase the wii. Although the wii and the wii fit program is two separate packages.

One remote comes with the wii, and you have to buy another one if you want to play with two people. Also, you'd want to buy nunchucks that you purchase separately, they're required for a lot of wii games including the exercise one that you want. I think the exercise platfrom that you're looking for is the wii fit. I love it and it's amazing! Make sure you buy the wii fit and not just the yoga mat which you really don't need. Good luck!

We've got both at my house, but the wii fit is c**p, so overrated and expensive. If you want to lose weight or whatever buy a treadmill for the price of the console + board.

If you want the wii for the console, don't. Buy a ps3 instead.

If by the exercise platform you mean the Wii Fit, you might want to buy the Wii ans the Wii Fit in December this year. The Wii Fit is brand new and is coming out in December. I think you can pre-order the Wii Fit on Nintindo's homepage but I'm not sure.

When you purchase the Wii you will get a controller and a Wii Sports Game.

When you purchase the Wii Fit you will get the Balance Board and the game.

The Wii Fit is amazing. I got one about 2 weeks ago and I (and my family) am addicted. Its comfortable and it really works! Good Luck!

You get the wii console and remote then you need to buy the wii fit which are like really hard to get at the moment Asda have got a good deal at the moment £179 you get a few things with that as well , i went on argos at 9ish at night and manage to get a wii fit there are great good luck.

When you buy the wii, you get one remote (the main controller) one nunchuck (the attatchable controller used for some games such as wii sports boxing) and wii sports. It also comes with all the necessary wires that are needed to hook the wii up to a television.

On wii sports, you get: Bowling, Boxing, Golf, Baseball, and tennis.

Also, you get an assortment of minigames that train you in the five sports I mentioned before. You get 3 minigames for each sport so that is 15 total. You can also do your wii sports age where the game gives you 3 of the minigames at random and the better you do in the games, the younger the age the wii will give you. I believe the ages range from 20 to 80. 20 obviously being the best.

Wii sports can be played with up to 4 players. However in baseball and boxing, only 2 players can play at a time.

Personally, I think the bowling is the best.

Now, WiiFit, which is the platform game, comes with the balance board and the wii fit game disc.

The activities that you can do in Wii Fit are: yoga, areobics, strength training, and balance games which are like mingames.

The game also keeps a log of your performance to show what you did when, and how well you did it.

Also, there are sure to be many other games that use the balance board and might be good for people who are interested in wii fit, if you are interested. Just keep your eyes open or just ask on here again.

The Wii comes with a remote, nunchuck, and a copy of Wii Sports. The exercise platform you are talking about is called Wii Fit, and it comes with a Wii Balance Board and the game itself.

You can buy extra remotes and nunchucks separately.

a nintendo wii is awesome. A hint is that instead of batteries you use the wii charger. It fits 2 wii controllers. Also, you can play the gamecube on it. By, buying a gamecube cotroller, memory card and games.

P.S. the Wii brings one controller, and if you want more games you can buy the combo which brings games too. Also, it brings a nunchuck
