Nintendo ds wi-fi help?

i am having trouble getting on wi-fi with my ds, i have a router, its a linksys,WRT54G2, when i try to get on the error code 51099 comes up and it says that the access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS, can anyone help me with this, or tell me how to fix it?

  1. Yeah, you would have to turn off the wireless security on the router in order to use the wi-fi on your DS.

    I of course refuse to do that, for many reasons including it would be annoying, so at times I've considered buying the "Nintendo DS Wi-Fi USB Connector" on amazon.com.  Nintendo doesn't sell it anymore, in part because I've heard it gets really really HOT!  But basically if you have a Windows XP computer (already connected to the internet) and you plug this into the USB port, it'll create a signal that allows you to share the internet wirelessly with the DS.

    So seeing as how many vendors still have it on amazon and I'm sure elsewhere, that would also be an option.


  2. type in 192.168.1.1 on your browser

    for password type in admin

    go to wireless then wireless security

    disable it
