I like them both but if you have to choose get the wii first and then as soon as you can get the nintendo d.s.

The wii is a ton of fun. I'd get that first.

wii is non portable whereas lite is portable

I've got a DS lite and now want a Wii.

I've played on a Wii once and loved loved loved it.

DS's can get boring plus you can't play with the family.

I say go for a Wii and get a DS afterwards - if you can afford it that is.

the wii is nintendos main console so if your waiting for a mario game to come out or a zelda game you will see the trailer and be sad you got the ds

wii cause it has controllers and it is motion sensitive and isnt small but if you like portable i would choose that.

They are both fun but get the Wii. It has SSBB.
