Nipitphon Puangpuapech–Savitree Amitrapai enter into Mixed Doubles final at Syed Modi International
Thailand’s Nipitphon Puangpuapech and Savitree Amitrapai advanced into Mixed Doubles final after crushing Singapore’s Danny Bawa Chrisnanta and Yu Yan Vanessa Neo in semi-final clash at Syed Modi International India GPG 2012 on Saturday, December 22, in
Lucknow.
The impressive Nipitphon and Savitree, who are un-seeded shuttlers in the main draw in this championship, continued their giant killing run in the arena toppled their third seeded Singaporean challengers in 42 minutes.
Thai players were in remarkable form as they did not let their challengers to put up strong show at any stage and won this semi-final battle in straight games with a reasonable margin on the score board.
On the contrary, the higher ranked Danny and Yu Yan failed to continue their aggressive run in the tournament as they failed to put up strong show and eventually crashed out in straight sets without showing their brilliance.
It was a wonderful fight in the initial points when Nipitphon and Savitree showed a wonderful display of their incredible skills in the arena.
Nipitphon and Savitree were quite comfortable in taking the bird early and they did not encounter any trouble in executing powerful strokes in right areas.
The lower ranked Thai shuttlers showed no respect to their third seeded Singaporean challengers in the starting part and established a superb lead on score board.

After the interval, Thai players continued their superb performance and did not face any considerable opposition from their rivals in taking the opening set with a decent 21-18 difference on the board.
Nipitphon and Savitree did not lose their supremacy at any stage in the first part of second set as they played with complete control and aggression on court.
The in-form Thai shuttlers utilised their tremendous craft in the arena by picking the bird timely from all corners and kept their rivals under pressure.
Nipitphon and Savitree were quite consistent in their positive play in the ending points of second set and they took the game with a reasonable score of 21-18.
Thai players proved their domination in semi-final encounter and ended it up with a convincing 21-18 and 21-18 score on the board.
