Canada 99 – Egypt 54
Nirra Fields once again emerged as the highlight of the game and lifted Canada with 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and four steals. Fields remained on the court for 23 minutes and shot 52.9 percent from the field. Diana Lee and Korissa Williams also made 12 points each for Canadian squad.
Hagar Amer led Egypt with 14 points, on a 54.5 percent shooting, five rebounds and one steal. Besides Amer, Reem Osama added 12 points.
Spain 77 – Chinese Taipei 47
Queralt Casas spearheaded Spain with18 points, two rebounds and one assist. She stayed on the court for 26 minutes and shot 58.3 percent from the floor. Marina Delgado was the second leading scorer for the Spanish side. She scored 12 points, clutched seven rebounds and made two steals too.
From Chinese Taipei, Chi-Fang Chang tallied 12 points while Yu-Chun Wei chipped in with nine points.
Australia 77 – Chile 46
Tayla Roberts marshalled the Australian side with a double-double performance. She took 21 minutes to pound 20 points, on a 90 percent field goal shooting, and 10 rebounds. Tayla single handedly took Australia to the victory as she was only Aussie player in double-figures. Alexandra Bunton and Gretel Tippett made nine points each for the Australians.
Fernanda Serrano was the leading scorer for Chile. She had 13 points and two rebounds during her 22 minutes action on court. Barbara Cousino also came up with 11 points, one assist and one steal.
Brazil 67 – Slovenia 50
Damiris Dantas guided Brazil to the 67-50 win over Slovenia. She bagged 21 points, nine rebounds and made one steal in her 31 minutes stay. Isabela Ramona supported Dantas with 11 points, one assist, seven rebounds and three steals.
Tjasa Gortnar led Slovenia with 17 points and six rebounds. She stayed on the court for 36 minutes, shot 50 percent of her field goals. Nina Gabrovsek and Eva Rupnik made added 12 points apiece for Slovenia.
