  1. The 1990-1996 300ZX Twin Turbo would be your best bet. Turbo cars react very well to mods. Just a simple catback exhaust and intake will gain you more than you'd see on most NA cars.

All that being said, its not the easiest car to work on. The engine bay is very cramped and parts are not cheap.

  2. The 90 and up models were cool. I am a fan of the 84 85 or 86 single turbo models. The 3.0L engines were bullet proof as long as you change the oil, I've seen them with over 300,000 miles and not use a drop of oil. You can upgrade to a turbo from a buick grand-national and spank a 91 up twin turbo. I wouldn't say this if i hadn't already done it. Only thing is, the engine will cut out at a top speed of 137 mph, guess nissan thought that was enough at the time. Goodluck!!

  3. The z32 rocks (90 -96) but the 1990 had some casting problems with cylinder heads cause the crank angle sensor to fail. I would start with a 91. All years are the same except a few interior items. I do have to tell you they are expensive the repair if your not handy.
