    HandyCam is a Sony brand.

    Some HandyCams are DVD based. If you have a drawer loading DVD drive in your computer, you can rip the video. No ImageMixer software needed.

    Some HandyCams are Flash memory or Hard drive based. Use USB to transfer the video. You may need a code to translate the MPEG2 file, but no ImageMixer software needed.

    Some HandyCams are miniDV or Digital 8 based. Use Firewire to transfer. No ImageMixer software needed.

    Some handyCams are Hi8 or Super8 based. Use an Analog/Digital bridge to transfer. No ImageMixer software needed.
