Question:

No AC in house, Can I still install Laminated floor?

I am remodeling my house and want to put laminated floor. I have been told I need to bring the floors home and leave it in the living room for 72 hours for material to get adjusted to the new environment. My new AC will be operational next week. Can I still install my floor after 72 hours with no AC?

When my AC comes on next week, will it shrink my floor?

I’ll pick the best answer later.

  1. Personally I don't think it would hurt because you're going to have temperature changes through out the year. Ask the dealer you bought it from.

  2.   Unless the humidity is extremely high in the house go a head  after the laminate has acclimated.. A down side though..the normal dust you kick up during a floor install(any) may settle in duct work and when AC kicks on you ll have a bit more dust than normal so cover / clean out ducts as well as possible..
