No Cook in England Twenty20 squad?

I notice that Alastair Cook has missed out on selection for the preliminary England squad for the World Twenty in 2010. Why’s that?

Cook, apparently, isn’t looked upon by England selectors as a Twenty20 player, not being of the crash, bang cricketing style and preferring to accumulate his runs a bit more methodically. Didn’t Australia name a guy who employs that method of gathering runs as its Twenty20 captain?
