No Dominion to complete hat-trick in 32Red Handicap at Southwell
For the switch to Fibersand, No Dominion has shown enormous improvement. After enjoying two convincing victories, the 3-year-old is in great shape, looking good to complete the hat-trick at Southwell, where he is due to appear in the 32Red Handicap on Tuesday.
Southwell has proved to be a lucky venue for No Dominion. Trained by James Given, the bay colt suffered several unfortunate defeats ahead of coming here last month. He unchained the shackles in style, and seized his first win on October 4th.
The 32Red Supporting British Racing Handicap (Div I) saw him justifying the highest odds of 15 to 8. In the hands of Graham Lee, he held up in the beginning, but made smooth progress to track the leaders three furlongs before the wire. The talented runner
challenged the leaders 2f out, and subsequently led entering the final furlong. The glory came to him by half a length.
The J. Barson-owned build on that, and presented another fascinating act at the end of last month. In the Bramley Apple Handicap (Div I), the 13-8 favourite again established his dominance entering the final furlong, and stayed on afterwards. With the help
of a splendid finish, he captured the first rank by a length’s distance.
Having made two splendid efforts, the son of Dylan Thomas is fully pumped. If the big fellow continues to run in the similar fashion, he will easily be able to complete the hat-trick. Owned by N. Cable & M. Smith, the bay colt is all set to face a strong
opposition of 13 runners.
The class 5 meeting is due to get started at 15:20 GMT. Over a distance of one mile, the contest will be for a prize of £2,386. No Dominion needs to deliver his best to grab the glory, because there are many dangerous runners in the pack. According to our
calculations, Casela Park is the main threat.
The 7-year-old attracted a lot of market support on his debut for David O'Meara at Doncaster earlier this month. The son of Elnadim could not do anything special on that occasion, but looks open to improvement. He cannot be ruled out of the equation.
