No Fabregas compromise for Barcelona?

Just days after Arsenal revealed there was some kind of gentlemen's agreement between the Gunners and Barce revealing Cesc Fabregas, has that agreement been revealed to be a complete sham?

Certainly seems like someone's got their wires crossed - first off, Barcelona's technical secretary Txiki Begiristain has said that the club agreed to no such deal in steering clear of trying to lure the player to the Nou Camp, but now it seems that Cesc himself is annoyed that Arsenal have been trying to keep the player off-limits - and may now depart! Sounds like an excuse to us, but maybe it's just the mischievous media whipping up another frenzy...
