I guess I asked this question the last time. I know Pers. Bush is in bed with big oil. We as country need direction. How much oil and gas would be saved if the pres. mandated a 4 day work week for Federal and State employees? Creating Hydrogen generating Station? Got any suggestions?

  1. you know president bush is in bed with big oil?? really????

    that's funny....

been to a gas station lately???????????

  2. If you look at how much time (and gas) is spent sitting in automobiles during rush hour, much could be saved (and a lot of carbon emissions reduced) if we changed the downtown areas of our cities into pedestrian only zones, like they have in Europe.

People would drive into the city and park at collection points just outside of the downtown area, and walk or take mass transit the final few miles.  It will free up congestion, noise pollution and valuable real estate (since parking areas in town could be developed).

Service vehicles (trash, deliveries, etc.) would take place between midnight and 6 a.m.

Again, this is based on a European model.
