No Grudges: Stuart Broad all set to welcome http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 back in the English fold – Cricket News Update
England’s T20 captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465, in a recent interview has said that England will gladly welcome flamboyant all-rounder, Kevin Pietersen back, if he is cleared by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to wear the blues again.
“The team have no issues with KP coming back, if the management decide he's ready to. from the team's perspective, his integration will be easy. Ultimately we're playing cricket and we want guys who will score runs and take catches to help http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 win. Whatever's happened, has happened,” said Broad.
Broad who is suspected of being among the players who have had an uneasy relationship with KP, insisted that he would not have any problems in playing alongside the controversial all-rounder.
“I've not spoken to Kev since the Headingley Test match, but I'd have no problems playing with him or having a beer with him. It's not an issue," opined Broad.
The pacer had a terrible http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 this summer.
KP had stirred up a hornets’ nest by allegedly texting players in the South African camp, criticizing the then Test captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 and the English management.
As a result, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chose to axe him from the team before the third and final Test which England lost and were ultimately dethroned from their number-one spot in Test cricket.
KP was also not happy with his cricket board for refusing to allow him to spend more time in playing the Indian Premier League (IPL), as the all-rounder wanted ECB to chalk out a time table that would create a window for England players to take part in the lucrative league instead of playing for the home team.
After announcing retirement from the one-day format in May, KP was automatically barred from representing England in T20s which ended his chances of playing this year’s World Twenty20.
Speaking on KP’s absence in the mega tournament, Broad said, “It would be hard for me to say we didn't miss someone of his experience at the top of the order.”
