  1. How are you traveling and how old are you?

If you are a passenger in a car or on a train or bus  and are over 16 years of age, your school id should be sufficient to cross between US states (but not into Canada or Mexico).

If you plan to fly, then you need a "government issued id," including things like passports,  driver's licenses and state DMV issued ids. I assume you do not have a driver's license, the most common form of id. If you are too young to obtain one, then you might need a letter from your parents or guardian in order to take any form of public transportation. If you are traveling with them, then that would not be necessary.

  2. If you are a minor, you do not need an ID to travel state to state.  If you are an adult, a public college or university ID works because it is technically a state-issued ID.  If you don't go to a public college or university, go to the DMV and get a state ID card.

  3. I suggest going to the DMV and getting some form of an identification card. I don't see why a school card ID wouldn't work though I wouldn't want to risk it?

  4. if its state to state...you dont really need much. any kind of id works fine in most situations.

    if your flying, thats different.

i suggest going to get a state id, it looks just like a license and i believe u can get it at the dmv.  if its just like a license, you should be able to get it in like, 15 min tops.
