WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA:

Since the Pledge of Allegiance

And The Lord's Prayer Are not allowed in most Public schools anymore Because the word 'God' is mentioned.... A kid in ArizonaWrote the attached

NEW School prayer : Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess.. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen

  1. that makes a lot of sense. life as we know it would not be bad if we had prayer back in our lives. i have a needle point done by my grand mother that says Go Pray To Your God

  2. no surprise he lives in Arizona

luckily i went to high school in a suburb of Chicago, which isn't a part of the Bible Belt.  THANK GOD!  No pun intended.  People ARE aloud to talk about God and pray in public, at school, just not to a point where everyone else has to be brainwashed as well.

  3. I love that kid already.

I think it's right to stand up for what you believe in.

    But don't violate anyone else.

And as far out as this may seem to some of you, isn't that a bit like hypocrisy?  No offense to those with or without religion, but *IF* I remember correctly, way way way way back in the day the constitution WAS involved with God.  And in the first place, the "Pledge Of Allegiance" had the name of God in it..

If they didn't want anything to do with God in the first place, they shouldn't have put the name there.

    I think that's quite idiotic.

Just doesn't make sense to me =\

    Didn't mean to offend anyone! hopefully I didn't =]

Well have a nice day yall.

  4. I like the part about birth control and condoms because those do no good at all. I don't see the 10 commandments keeping people from having children who don't need them.

  5. This kid is very good. Very smart. If there are 100 different religions then let everyone have a silent prayer.

  6. This has got to stop.  Really now.

I am Christian, born again too 3 years ago this past June.  Question, if we allow prayer in public schools, which faith will be allowed to pray?  Do you know how many different religions there are?  I am sure there are over a hundred with at least several dozen actively being practised in the US.  If they allow prayer in public schools, they have to allow all forms of religions to pray.  Do you really want that?  Do you want your child to be forced to listen to a devil worshipper praying in school?  I think not.
