No Manchester United offer received for Wesley Sneijder, claim Inter Milan – Serie A Update
Inter Milan have claimed that although there have been numerous rumours regarding http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 going to Manchester United, there still has been no contact between the two outfits.
However, the Nerazzurri would sell the player if the Red Devils offer an attractive amount.
Rumours that United chief executive, David Gill, met with the Italian counterparts at San Siro to discuss the possible transfer of Sneijder were ripe earlier this month. It was also revealed that the Dutch international is also keen on making a move out
to Old Trafford as his future was doubtful after the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini at Inter. The tactician plays a non-traditional 3-4-3 formation, negating the role of a playmaker.
On the other hand, parallel reports suggested that the United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, is not looking for any more additions to the squad after the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463 and Ashley Young. The manager also claimed that Sneijder is not being considered as
a target for the ongoing summer transfer market. On the contrary, David Gill last week claimed that a ‘world class player’ would be added to the squad by the end of August.
The reports claim that Inter have received a 35 million Euros bid for the playmaker. However, Inter chief executive, Ernesto Paolillo, suggests that there has been no contact between the two clubs. While talking to the Sky Sport Italia, Paolillo said:
"Are Manchester United still after Sneijder? We haven't seen or heard from anyone; that's a story I've heard from you. Is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-c36794 definitely not for sale? I don't think there's anything that can't be sold, it all depends on the price. You never say no if
a big opportunity comes your way, but it does have to be a real opportunity."
The Nerazzurri official also answered questions regarding the possible arrival of Manchester City want-away Captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez. The Argentine is reckoned to be a priority target of the Serpent and is being looked upon as a must in the forward block.
"We can't stop him from coming to Milan or going to the same http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Beaches-c38612 as Branca, but we're not going there looking for him," said Paolillo.
Tevez is also on the Real Madrid radar and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 would need to sell Sneijder in order to get close to demands of the Citizens.
