Question:

No Meat for a week?

I did not any meat for a week and I have energy and I am focus. Have anyone tried this and stuck with it? I plan to stick with chicken and fish starting next week, but that's about it.

  2. I enjoy meat and it is part of my diet probably 4 days a week but it is a small part.    I eat mostly vegetables and fruits and my carbs have been whole grain.   I feel fantastic, have lost 40 pounds.    

    My thoughts on the process having gone through these changes were that the biggest benefit came with the switch to whole grain carbs.   No more sugars.    Meat had always been a small but important part of my meal.   Vegetables and Fruits are the most important thing for your body but if you eat fruits and veggies and get most of your calories from refined grains, you are not living very healthy.

  5. So, you consider chicken is not meat?

    It is OK;

    many have live on fish + nuts + vege etc. in a very healthy style.

    But chicken sure is a cheap source of proteins, especially if you are living in the US.

  6. Since you are asking this in the vegetarian section, many of us have stuck with it for years.  Not eating meat for a week doesn't make you a vegetarian and vegetarians do not eat chicken or fish.  I'm nor sure why you are asking this here.

    You gave up beef and pork then?

    I thought chicken was considered meat?

    And pork is called the "Other white meat".

  8. I havent had meat for over 3 months.....not one bite!

    I also dont eat dairy, eggs, fish, & processed foods

    I have heaps more energy, and have lost 25lbs so far.

    My skin tone & complexion have cleared up-no more adult acne. My hair & nails grow faster (exciting)! I was told yesterday that my eyes were clear & brighter--no joke, I noticed the same thing.

    Everyday someone compliments the way I look.

    I work in retail, and the other day a customer who hasnt been in the store for a while came in and the first words she said were, "Wow, you've lost weight! You look great, what are you doing?"

    Not to mention, my boyfriend is excited, too.... ;)

    I never thought I would be having so much fun eating! I keep learning about new foods, like quinoa and millet, that I've never had before, and now I've discovered they are both yumm-o
