No No Bingo looks strong for Hennings Wine Handicap Chase
In this season, No No Bingo has run just two races but failed badly in both. Since his last start of September 29, the Charlie Longsdon trained bay gelding has been doing intensive workout to lift his racing stamina. Hopefully, he might have summed up a
lot of confidence.
This is the reason the bettors have tagged the six-year-old young Irish runner as the 6-4 hot favourite candidate for today’s Hennings Wine Handicap Chase that will go down at Fontwell racecourse.
In this high-stakes class 4 contest, the son of Craigsteel out of Little Anna will compete against three rivals over the heavy course of 2 miles and 2 furlongs.
So far, the horse has experienced heavy surface for just once; that experience was bad enough. On the basis of this factor, some sport analysts claim that No No Bingo will have to struggle in this race. This is also a matter of grave concern for the punters.
But hopefully, the D. Hickey bred horse will be able to cope with the challenge as he managed to accumulate a lot of firepower with the vigilant drills of last three weeks.
No No Bingo started his career in April 2010. He happened to break his maiden in March 2011 when he beat Ifonlyalfie by four lengths to finish first in the 5yo+ Confined Maiden (Div 1). The course was yielding.
He moved ahead to finish third in the Orchid Transport Maiden Hurdle on October 19 of the same year. The gelding repeated the same in the next race named as James Alexander Smith Memorial Maiden Hurdle.
Today’s race is going to be an acid test of No No Bingo’s capabilities. The biggest threat to him will be Rash Moment who has achieved 10 victories off 85 starts.
Thus, the Michael Scudamore trained bay gelding has immense experienced under his belt. His last triumph came on March 29, 2012 when he grabbed the ace title of the Iwec Electrical Handicap Chase at Ffos Las.
In his second last outing at Fontwell, he finished as the runner-up. Thus, an awe-inspiring clash is expected between the two geldings. Let us see how No No Bingo justifies his favourite tag.
