No No Charlie set to make his experience count in Furlongsracing Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Sedgefield
Many racing experts are expecting Be Devious to make a wonderful debut, but one should not overlook No No Charlie. Although he has run only one race so far in his career, that experience will help him outsmart his rivals.
All this drama will happen in the Furlongsracing Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race, taking place at Sedgefield on Tuesday, April 03, 2012. According to the plan, the class 6 meeting will begin at 17:30 (GMT). The 2m1f event has attracted eight quality
runners.
Their names are: No No Charlie, Be Devious, Function Times, Bremer Bay, Fame Again, Lord Luso, Philchezski and Forty Crown. No No Charlie made his debut in October last year, when he impressed everyone with his class and quality.
Despite the fact that Asker kept him under immense pressure all the way through, Charlie Longsdon’s trainee maintained good standards to secure second position in the Linda's Birthday Bumper "Newcomers" Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Worcester.
After a gap of nearly six months, the five-year-old is full of energy. If he manages to replicate what he did last year, he will have every chance to grab victory.
Out of others, Be Devious is the strongest one. Although he does not have any experience under his belt, nobody should take him lightly.
The bay gelding belongs to Alan Swinbank’s yard, which has a wonderful strike rate. In order to start his career with a bang, the four-year-old will have to come up with an all out effort.
Another participant who can do some damage is Function Times. The five-year-old recently made her debut, securing fourth position in the Michael Easterby Mares' Standard National Hunt Flat Race (Conditional Jockeys' And Amateur Riders') at Catterick.
It was a decent effort, but the George Moore-trained mare needs to do something different in an attempt to be impressive this time around.
It will be a tug of war between No No Charlie and Be Devious. Everything looks in favour of No No Charlie, but the gelding cannot afford to be over-confident. No matter who wins, the spectators will enjoy a lot.
