No Pakistan player in Bangladesh Twenty20 League - Cricket News Update
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused to allow its players participate in the upcoming Bangladesh Twenty20 Premier League in order to ensure the players get ample time to prepare for the upcoming crucial series against England.
Citing the upcoming Test series against the world number Test side in UAE, the PCB has asked its players not to sign contracts with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 clubs for the lucrative Bangladesh Twenty20 league.
A senior PCB official, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nadeem-Sarwar-c78422 confirmed that PCB has not allowed its players to participate in the Bangladesh league.
"The PCB feels that at this time when the national team is due to play a very important test series against England it would not be appropriate to allow our top players to play in any foreign T20 league," said PCB media manager Nadeem Sarwar while talking
to the media reporters. "No player at this stage has been given permission to sign any contract."
Nine Pakistan cricketers had reportedly signed contracts with various clubs in Bangladesh for country’s domestic Twenty20 tournament that starts from December 26.
Sarwar confirmed that former skippers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Abdul-Rehman-c41625 had all sought permission from PCB to play in the BCB Twenty20 League but the board has not allowed them to sign
contracts with the Bangladesh clubs.
"They had sought the permission of the board and they have been told they should not sign any contracts at this stage since there is little time left to prepare for the England series," said the PCB media manager, Nadeem Sarwar while talking to the media
reporters on Sunday.

Sarwar said that the board would soon take a decision on whether to allow the quartet to participate in the Bangladesh League or not.
"These players also could be required for Pakistan duty at any time. But the board has not taken a decision on their contracts."
