No Poppy expected to prevail in Play Casino At BetVictor.com Handicap
No Poppy is expected to prevail in the Play Casino At BetVictor.com Handicap at Ayr in England on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. A cash prize of £4,075 will be awarded to the winner of the class-4 event.
Speed will be the deciding factor in the 7 furlong 50 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:40 GMT. Furthermore, the going will be good to firm and a total of 12 runners will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: Amazing Amoray, No Poppy,
Celtic Sultan, Northern Fling, Beckermet, Ginger Jack, Santefisio, Bawaardi, Silver Rime, Blues Jazz, Polar Annie and Orbit The Moon.
Although there are some very good runners taking part in the race, the recent form of No Poppy has been impressive. She has been delivering some brilliant results, which indicate that she will be unstoppable at Ayr.
The four-year-old filly has participated in 30 races until now, winning four of them. Her strike rate is certainly not impressive, but she has secured the runner up spot on 10 times whereas finished third once as well.
This goes onto show that the Tim Easterby’s trainee has the tools to fight for victories consistently. If she manages to win today, she will complete a hat-trick of victories. She is carrying a terrific momentum at the moment, thus the bettors will be interested
in risking a lot of money on her.
No Poppy was not rated as favourite to win her most recent race, but she stunned one and all with her speed. She was steady at the start, but increased her speed as the finish line approached.
Adam Carter will be the one partnering No Poppy in the race at Ayr. He seems to be a promising jockey, but will need to bring a lot more consistency in his performances in order to improve his strike rate.
On the other hand, Northern Fling has got plenty of experience and is carrying the winning momentum right now. Therefore, he too cannot be ruled out and the punters will be interested in risking a few bets on him.
The eight-year-old gelding has participated in 55 races in his career, winning eight of them. He will definitely cause a few problems for the race favourite at Ayr.
