Question:

No Water pressure from well?

I have a well with an underground storage tank. The well must be pumping fine, and the pump for the storage tank as it indicates it is full. The piping in the pumphouse has gauges that read zero. The pressure pump there is off. I can manually turn it on, but it must not be getting any water there as it trips off and does not even start to build pressure. It just happened all of a sudden and all power circuits are fine. Any ideas while I wait for the well service to return my calls??

It would seem the entire system above ground is full of air. I have no idea where or how to try to bleed it off...or if that is the proper course of action....

  1. to bleed off air just open a faucet and see if pressure pump turns on

  2. You have lost pressure in the pump that is in your storage tank ,you will need to prime this pump, first unhook main water line, the big est one , make sure power is turned off to pump!! fill line with water, re connect turn on pump. if line does not hold water the water, and pressure line both will need to be dis connected ,and pulled from storage tank, then check foot valve for  damage it should be closed.
