  1. - Tahllia (TAHL-lee-ah)

  2. neither i hate that name, no offence or anything but it is probably the name i hate the most fro a girl (that and Nevaeh)

but if i had to i would choose tah-lee-ah (taliah)

  3. I Like TAHL EE UH spelled Talliya.

  4. how about the original one?

  5. I like Tahlia (TAHL-lee-ah) but with one "L" only!  The pronunciation is much prettier. Talia sounds like it is short for Natalia.

  6. I actually like Ta-leah.

  7. 1st one

  8. Are you from HI? I believe it's Talia

  9. The first spelled the second ways

  10. The first one.  I think it sounds very pretty.

  11. Tahllia (Tahl-lee-ah) is pretty. (:

    but spelled Taleah or Taliah

  12. I strongly prefer the Talia spelling; the other two look overly-complicated and are bound to be misspelled with some frequency.  The two-syllable pronunciation is pretty and simple, so I'd stick with that one.  You'll probably have people calling her both TAHL-yah and TAHL-ee-ah, though, depending on how much they like to enunciate the middle vowel.  Many names are like this, so it shouldn't be a problem.  With Olivia, for example, some people pronounce it as four syllables and some pronounce it as three, but it's still the same name.

Other spellings you might consider are Talya and Thalia.  Apparently, Talya is a variant spelling of the Hebrew Talia, which means "dew from God."  They are both pronounced the same way, as either two or three syllables.

Thalia was the Greek Muse of comedy and idyllic poetry.  Her name means "to flourish or bloom."  In most countries, the "th" is pronounced like a "t" sound, so Thalia would be identical in sound to Talia.  (You'll sometimes see the name spelled with just a "t" to avoid confusion.)  In some countries, though, Thalia is pronounced as THAH-lee-ah.  While I love the reference to Greek mythology, so this is technically my favorite spelling, having a "th" that is pronounced like a "t" in your daughter's name is bound to cause unnecessary trouble.  I'd still stick with Talia of all the choices.

  13. I like the pronounciation TAHL-lee-ah but I like the spelling Talia

  14. I like the second Talia-pronounced (TAHL-yah). Very pretty. Rhymes with Dahlia.

  15. I like Talia. The other ones look wierd, not like actual names.

If you want to use Tahllia, I would use Taleigha.

  16. I like the TAHL-lee-ah pronunciation best. Thalia is a good way to spell this.

  17. TAHL-lee-ah

  18. I went to school with a girl named " Taliyah"

    T

    A

    L

    I

    Y

    A

    H

    Teachers never pronounced it right.

    She hated it =/

    ;] meg

  19. I like Talia (TAH-lee-ah) better.

    Talya (TAHL-yah) is okay.

  20. Talia (TAHL-yah)

Skip the secondary funky spelling. Don't fall prey to the idea that you have to stick the "H" in there to get people to use the "ah" sound. With a few gentle corrections, they'll get the idea.

TALIA Variant transcription of TALYA  Gender: Feminine

    Usage: Jewish

Means "dew from God" in Hebrew

Could also be a diminutive of Natalya (Russian form of Natalie)

  21. I like Talia. Ta-lee-uh.

A as in apple. Not A as in walk.

  22. I don't like either.

    Edit:

Thinking about the first probably sounds a bit classier.

  23. I like Tahlya.

  24. TAHL-lee-ah soooo pretty and feminine

  25. Tahllia is better than the other one

  26. I LOVE TAHL-lee-ah.  One of my favorite names.  I spell it Tahlia.

  27. I love Tahlia - spelt either that way or Talia.

    Pronounced - Tah - lee - ah

I wouldn't go with Tahlya - it just looks confusing and I imagine it will be majorly mispronounced.

  28. Tahl-lee-ah  pretty (;

  29. Tahlia.

    or Talia.

    [Tah-lee-ah]

  30. I definitely like the first one better. Pretty :)

  31. Tahillia (TAHL-lee-ah) It wins hands down sounds way better than the other one.
