Question:

No audio output device installed ?

I just upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows Vista Home Premium. The installation was flawless, everything went well. But there is no sound. If i scroll over the little sound thingy at the bottom right corner next to the clock, it says "No audio output device installed". I tried installing the Realtek High Definition Audio, but it said "Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver".

Can anyone help, please ??!?!??!

  1. No one in here will give you the correct answer, ive had this same exact problem with my computer 3 months ago, and I found a really good way to fix it, e mail me at bachata144@yahoo.com

    I will show you.

  2. The drivers for Vista and XP are probably different.  I would go to Realtek's website and download the Vista drivers for your model.
