The Napoli attackers were lethal against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League; however, reports suggest there is a dispute between the two players.
Speculation has been rife that the striking duo has been in conflict with each other and enjoy professional formalities.
However, the agent of the Uruguayan forward has quashed such rumours, stating that the Partenopei strikers enjoyed dinner together after their Champions League match against Chelsea.
Claudio Anellucci, Cavani’s agent, was talking to Radio Crc, and stated:
"The rumours of a discord between them are completely unfounded. So much so, in fact, that after the match with the English [Chelsea], we all had an amicable dinner together which El Pocho's [Lavezzi's] agent
was also at."
Diverting attention from all the rumours of rift between the two players, the agent went on to talk about their match against the Stamford Bridge outfit. Anellucci was of the opinion that Napoli’s recent
run of form is a testament to the hard work of the players, and the wonderful managerial skills of their boss, Walter Mazzarri.
Cavani’s representative feels that the Naples outfit is more of a cohesive unit as compared to the Blues, who consist of great individuals.

The agent reflected that for a coach to be a good “man manager” is a great asset in the skill set of any tactician. He believes that this affable nature of the manager leads to a strong bond between the players
and the coach, which further reflects in the performances of the players.
