If a batsman was to advance down the pitch at the bowler and the bowler was to see him coming and bowl a full toss above waist height is it a no-ball?? Additional information: The ball would have been higher than waist height had the batsman remained in their crease and in a normal batting stance.

  1. Sounds like, it would be a no ball, unless the umpire makes an error!

  2. no, it not to be no ball becoz batsman is coming arcross the crease.

  3. The umpire cannot call it a no-ball unless the ball was so high

enough almost at face height when the batsman comes forward.

Umpires can only give only if they think if the batsman had

stayed in the crease and the ball would have been over the

    waist high.

Sometime the gray areas - benefit is given to the batsman.

  4. No... he moved down the pitch... so the benefit of the doubt always goes to the batsmen

  5. it would be a no ball, however its unlikely a batsman can advance far enough change a delivery from being a a no ball to a good length
