The beggar has owed us the opportunity to be charitable. He never owed us anything. We owe him. Hence giver should be thankful and not the other way.

Be honest and answer: If there is no recognition of any kind, would you be charitable?

  1. I don't get it.

  2. Great question pal ...

Thats just because u are helping him out !

  3. the beggars around here are useless crackheads too lazy to work and a waste of oxygen each time they breath! i owe them nothing but a smack upside the head to push them away from my building. are you on crack saying they do me a service? what ever they don't make begging they steal, are you on crack?

  4. I don't get what you mean either

  5. You have too much free time on your hands. I don't owe a beggar anything, except 50 cents for a newspaper for the job listing of the day.

  6. no

  7. That's why it's called, "charity."

  8. Of course. That is the meaning of charity.

  9. it is a bit hard to get what you mean, but i think yes why not.

  10. See, this is the problem with statements.

First ; "The beggar owed us the opportunity to be charitable"

    followed by ;

"The beggar owed us nothing "

So which is it ? These are conflicting statements. Therefore It is niether deep nor profound, its a set of conflicting statements !

"We owe him" -  Huh, for what ? And what did the beggar owe us again ? Something or nothing ?

How ridiculous ! Of course ! Most of us give to charities and we never ever meet those who were helped by our donation.

And since when is it that, if someone gives you something that you need not be grateful ?

OK, first learn how to write english using a logical structure. That is without glaringly conflicting statements, especially when one immediately follow the other.

Secondly, basic politesse says that one ought to thank those from whom you take without compensating them.

Third - Most charitble donations are effectively anonymous. Most of the time we never see those who benefit from our donations.

Therefore the answer to your question is glaringly obvious. Of course !!!

What was the purpose of this shallow and nearly meaningless tome ? (besides 2 conflicting statements and a question that is a statement of that which is easily obvious ?
