I went to the Doctor on April 22nd and they had to take 2 pregnancy test to determine if I was pregnant or not and I guess, the assumed Im not pregnant and they put me on a new birth control pill. I had major bleeding and discomfort for a whole month and lost at least 10 punds during the process. Could this have been a miscarrage?

Also....

I havent had my period since, May 10th

It is now, July 31st. I have had slight weight gain, moodiness, slight discomfort in the abdominal region, swelling of the hands and feet. I have hot and cold spells. I tend to sometimes get an upset stomach in the morning and it goes away. I have to pee way more than i have before and in addition to my discomfort in the abdomen it has become slightly hard and there is a little pouchy there. =) I havent taken a HPT yet only due to the fact that I dont want to be disappointed or hurt, this has happend in the past, but should I take the test or is this wishful thinking?

Thanks

  1. Sometimes the body's symptoms of stress and anxiety mimic those of early pregnancy so it can be confusing! I would wait another week to take the pregnancy test unless you have extra money to spend for another test next week!

It's crazy...here you are, trying your hardest to get pregnant..and then on Yahoo answers, you see 13 year olds posting  questions about how they became pregnant, whether they should or should not have the baby, and how they're so scared because their parents are going to find out and the kicker is...they weren't even trying to get pregnant in the first place!

It's almost a joke, really. Just as a little story, My husband and I tried to conceive for a while year. Last year around Thanksgiving time, it finally happened. I think it wasn't happening for a whole year because I was stressing so much over it. I kept thinking about the baby. I kept counting days, researching my ovulation charts, reading about all kinds of crazy methods to conceive a child. I had baby on the brain. Finally in November last year, I gave up. I had a move to think about. I had to pack things, clothes, furniture...had to get an apartment, start paying new bills with my husband, make a road trip to our new state..things were hectic and I forgot about baby-making, and somewhere around that time, it happened. I think when you are anticipating a child, your body isn't going to respond only because of how the stress hormones are high even though you don't know it. And this can even put your cycle off. It sucks, really. I have some really helpful sites for you though..you should check them out:

Good luck..I know it's so freakin frustrating...but it will happen. Like I said, we tried for a year..now I'm 37 weeks and almost ready to say Hello to my own little one. I do wish you the best.

  2. You should take a pregnancy test just because you need to know if you are pregnant or not.

If it is negative you should see your doctor because you haven't had a period in so long.

  3. take a test! the worse that can happen is it will be negative...in which case you need to talk to your doctor about why you aren't ovulating.
