No communication between pfaff 7570 and computer

Question

I have a pfaff 7570 and have downloaded vip customizing software on my xp desktop and my vista laptop computer. Neither computer will communicate with the machine. When machine is attached to xp desktop a picture of a sewing machine and computer show up on the sewing machine screen, but that's as far as it will go. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
