do you know any good waffle recipes without eggs that taste good but no fruit plain waffles thanks

  2. Eggless Waffles

    1 c  Wholewheat flour

           1 c  White flour

           3 tb Wheat germ

           2 tb Cornstarch

           2 tb Baking soda

           1 ts Baking soda

                Salt, optional

                Sugar, optional

                Water to mix

      

       Combine all the dry ingredients.  Add water, starting with 1/2 c &

       beating well.  Add enough water till you have the consistency

       desired. If you prefer thicker batter, add less water, thinner

       batter, add more water.

      

      


  3. Here is a waffle recipe that includes no eggs what so ever:

    1/3 c Rolled oats (old fashioned)  1/4 ts Nutmeg  

    1/3 c Unprocessed bran (AKA  1 tb Corn syrup  

    1 c All purpose flour  1 tb (heaping) applesauce or  

    1/2 ts Salt  1 c Buttermilk (without fat)  

    1 ts Baking powder  2 tb Butter Buds (liquid)  

    1/2 ts Baking soda  

    Mix all the dry ingredients. Add the Buttermilk and ButterBuds. Stir a few turns. Add enough water to thin the batter to the consistency of heavy cream. Let batter rest for 5 minutes and it will absorb a lot of liquid and thicken. Thin again with water to heavy cream consistency. (This is a lot thinner than any waffle recipe I have ever seen where you fold in egg whites, etc.) Bake in Pam sprayed hot iron until steam stops. Peak! If the waffles start to pull apart bake another couple of minutes. Tip: Fat free waffles come out crisp, but are apt to get soggy when you add syrup. I heat my plates in the oven and drizzle hot syrup on the plate. Then I put the waffle on top. We also love them with yogurt and fruit. This same recipe makes good griddle cakes, but dont thin the batter as much. I like to add sliced bananas to the unbaked side or griddle cakes before turning them.

  4. 3/4 cup water

    2 and 3/4 cups plus 2 Tbsps flour

    3 Tbsps vegetable oil

    1 Tbsp unsweetened pineapple juice concentrate or unsweetened apple juice concentrate

    1/4 cup vegetable oil

    1 cup water

    4-1/2 tsps baking powder

    1. Preheat waffle iron

    2. In a large bowl, stir together 3/4 cup water, 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, and 3 tablespoons oil.

    3. Add juice, 1/4 cup oil, 1 cup water, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix well.

    4. Stir in baking powder quickly, and then mix. Pour half the batter in preheated waffle iron and cook to desired doneness. Repeat with remaining batter.

    Makes 8 waffles
