No events in Disneyland from October onward? (2008)?

Looking at the Calendar on their website, it seems that there aren't any parades or entertainment events going on October 1 and onward. Have they just not added the events to the calendar, or is there really nothing going on?

  1. I just went there a few weeks ago (Disneyland, not California Adventure), and they had fireworks, and the Year of A Million Dreams or something like that parade. It was fantastic. Even though the rides aren't that exciting, they give you value back on the fireworks at around 9:15 PST PM and the parade coming at various times. Definitely worth your time and money.

  2. i really dont think disneyland doesnt have events for october probably they just forgot to update the calendar.Disneyland always has plans. Its a wonderful place when i go it makes me feel like a child again :)

  3. Actually, the park is geared for Halloween.  The Haunted Mansion is transformed for the Nightmare Before Christmas.  Disney's California closes early for Halloweentime, a special event which is a Halloween party in the park.

But it's true about the lack of parades and shows.  Disneyland in October is slow because most kids are back in school.  The fireworks show and the Electrical Parade will only happened on Friday and Saturdays (Sundays, too, for the Electrical).  Usually, the Fantasmic show is dark until winter.  And some of the rides are closed for refurbishment.
